was star wars a success

"Hello again. And, again, my congratulations on your superb astrophotography.
Most of the pictures are blurred and have camera shake - what is that bloke on

Blimey and as for scale, not everything is going to be the same distance or angle from earth (and the blokes camera). The iss goes diagonally iirc, theres several layers of different satellites. Theres more out there than we would know but those pictures don't prove anything.

Atleast one of the pictures looks like the iss before it had all its parts connected up (it had several stages added), another looks like the russian space station and one could be the hubble telescope.

Then of course there the Lexx, Excalibur, Enterprise, Babylon 5, moya (farscape) and a few other ships they use as tv series props to throw us off the scent :D

They are excellent for photos/video of an object 131ft high, 290ft wide and 356ft long from a distance of about 220 miles through the Earth's atmosphere with stuff you can buy off the shelf!

Erm, with all the technology today and considering how powerful some telescopes are, dont you think the images would be a little more clear? I mean, we can get detailed picture of Mars or what not, but when comes to something outside of Earths orbit the images are blurred.

Mars is 3,396 km wide with a relatively slow orbit. The ISS is moving much faster relatively, and is much much smaller. Tracking it would be a LOT harder.

Still doesn't stop me from maintaining the entire site is a load of poppycock. :)

Its a fake. As others have said, the ships closely resemble those from popular science fiction.

And just read the text. A quote from MIT congratulaing an amatuer astromoner on finding a Star Wars asset. I think not... :p
