Hi going to be putting a new graphics card in a new build ,, asus pk5..and a e6750 ,basically i dont want to overclock to the max and i dont wanna have to buy another card in the summer i`m going to be using an oc24" screen and play mostly fps ,moh airborne ,americas army ect wanna play it with everything turned up as big a res as i can without spending silly money .
so is it oc8800gtx or 8800gt512 so many threads my head is spinning what do u guys say

Well as he says OC 24" i'd assume 1920.

As such I say go with the GTX if you play using AA. Otherwise GTS 512 if you don't want AA.

Depends what games as the GT is capable of playing games at that res with AA.

I meant to say i`m currently running a xfx6800gt on an intel p4 3 gig and asus p4p mobo so i`m lookin to improve quite a bit i hope:D

Nice setup! I would go for a Q6600 instead for a core2 easily clocks up to 3GHz at stock voltage!

More future proof as many games are beginning to utalize more cores for game physics, etc. Go for a GTX any day! It is long though will it fit your case? What PSU do you have?
Jonnygrunge.

i would avoid the GT's unless you get one of the newer models that have a better cooler ;)

This is just an example, its not just XFX doing this. :)
