is there a problem with Sony Ericsson W910i ?

I've been waiting over a week now for 02 to send me this phone and everytime i ring up they keep putting the date back it's coming in to stock due to a software error on sony's part?


Does anyone know if this is true? There now saying they will be in stock on Dec 10 and i'll hav on the next couple of days though they did say Dec3rd they were comming in stock :mad:

I rang up on the 8th to order one and i got told they they would be in on the 10th, when i rang up at 8:30 on the 10th i was told "No they are not in today but week commencing the 10th so they could be in anytime this week"........I did however ring up on Tuesday morning and got one and its on its way as we speak, hopefully it will be here today sometime. I believe there were some software issues with it but apparently they have been fixed - time will tell
 
dont bother with this phone..every single one we have had has come back in with the same fault
 
What fault is that ? Also when you initially receive a text messge how do you change it to show name,date and time only. At the moment it shows name,date,time and part of the message. It used to do this on my k610i but it allowed you to change it to name, date and time.

What fault? I'm on my 2nd one having got the 1st one early Nov. After a week it started switching itself off and after about 24 hours I couldn't switch it on at all.

The one I have now has been fine so far.

Sorry but I have this phone, never had a problem. They will get them in stock its because everybody wants them they selling out quick thats all.

made a post after mine stating a big fault so i read that and assumed most people would have picked up from that.

appologies that i made that assumption but then to go on and call me an idiot thanks....so you make that judgement from one post and also seem to brandish all those that work in mobile phone stores as idiots...would that include the LLB law student, the under grad politics student and the engineering student that work in the store with me...are they also idiots...funny seeing as your title is "Wise Guy"

what percentage of the mobile phone sales advisors in the UK have you met...is it that you have had a few bad experiences with them you make that call....well here is a tip whenever you wish to make a purchase (regardless of what it is) research it and the possible alternatives, when you have made your choice just go out and buy it...then you will not need to speak to idiots will you

also to clarify the fault i refer to is phone switching itself off and sometimes even on, freezing up after coming back on, unable to open the inbox...some customers have even had 3 of these phones do the same...maybe it is just the batch we got but thats the experience i have had

Sorry? What exactly does that mean? I happen to work in an o2 store at moment, please elaborate?

Sorry, I don't know why you had to give out an attack like that then judge people like this.

80% of W910s we have sold over the last two weeks have had to be exchanged due to software faults and it switching itself off. Is that not a large failure rate? I have an Engineering degree and even I know thats not good.

So you're saying that W910i's are a reliable choice?
