They were selling uncharted when it was only released in the usa

have a look down by the bay

If you find the AI a little too easy at the start like i did dont give up on the game, its races start getting a a lot harder during the other classes.

wow! is it easy enough to figure out the menu's in japanese etc?

i didnt get the demo, i thought it would be out UK style momentarily, unfortunately it seems to have dropped off the face..

anywhere i can buy PSN points instantly online, or will my MasterCard work on JPN PS Store?

No Mastercard, No Visa, no virtual cards. NONE will work on Japanese store (I have tried!!).

Nowhere sells the PSN points instantly either. 1 import store sells the cards at slightly marked up prices (they will e-mail you a code). One auction guy does the same (most here have used the auction) He e-mails you the code as well. Nothing is instant due to the time difference.

I hope I have not said too much.

I may actualy buy a PS3 for this game alone.
Also handy to have a spare games machine for when my 3rd Xbox360 dies.

PS- off topic: does the ps3 have built in wireless ?

I agree, once i got over a view visual annoyances and you progress into the later classes/cars the game becomes more envolving. I like the way, cant explain this but the games racing engine really feels at its best when your pushing hard, the steering is very precise in this game and it gives a very rewarding sensation when your nailing those apexes and hitting the braking zones.

Enjoying this a lot, and considering i was really hard on the SUzuka demo this feels and plays a lot better imo.
