I've allways bought AMD and finally changed my Skt 939 4800+ setup for an OCUK bundle and couldn't believe it !

3.7ghz striaght out of the box.

It failed prime after 2 hours @ 3.7ghz but runs stable at 3.6ghz without too much hassle.

Lucky chip or my superb skills ?

Lucky chip :p

What temps are you getting? On my old E6600 i couldn't get it over 3Ghz without pumping a load of volts through it!

Core voltage is 1.51 which gives temps @

idle 28 - 32
Load 38 - 42

I might try uping the voltage a little, those temps aren't too scary...

stock volts will do mine upto 3.1ghz @ 8h orthos, seems to need another 0.1v for each 0.1ghz after that though.

those temps seem off though at stock with a zalman cooler mine ran at 46-ish on load. high 50's at 3.1.

Temps aren't 100% accurate.

I haven't got any software loaded so I've been restarting and checking in the BIOS so I could be loosing a couple of degress.

I'm using a Scythe Infinity heatsink which is pretty good if you can fit one in. My case has four 120mm fans which keeps it at about 24c...
