Football Fixtures 15-16th December **Spoilers**

However, in a game like today's when you're a goal down you can't afford to run the ball into trouble when there are team mates standing off you ready to receive it. You can't expect to run through 3 or 4 players so why waste the opportunity?

I'd rather he had a go. I mean how else were Liverpool going to score? On today's performance it would have taken an individual bit of skill or luck imo.

But yep Babel's decision-making is smt he needs to work on.

It's football, not ballet. That's part of Rooney's game, nothing at all bad enough to warrant a sending off lol.

for persistent fouling.

He had already been yellow carded if you were watching. Thats why i said he was lucky not to be sent off. I didnt say he was lucky not to be red-carded did i?

He needs money for better players. We can't compete over 38 games with the players we currently have.

Better players? He's got Babel who he spent £12m(?) on and looks lively whenever he gets his few mins. Why doesn't he ever give him a start? Spending that much money only to keep him on the bench is stupid. I don't understand it. He should atleast give him a chance to justify his price tag. I would be very surprised if Rafa does get money this January!

In Babels STARTS he hasn't looked particularly great. He was bought as someone for the future, not someone whos going to be starting every week.

He looks a completely different player when he starts and he's not a natural wide player as part of a 4-4-2. Just like Nani and Anderson started the season on the bench, he's young and needs time to adapt but im sure over the next month or so he's going to be starting more often.

Great win for united again at anfield!! Liverpool never looked like winning it! :)

I had to laugh at how much the pundits were saying torres has improved liverpool and how he is going to be the final piece in the jigsaw!!!! :D :D Hes scored six goals in the premiership 2 of which came against DERBY!!! Definately a premiership winner! Rio had him in his back pocket all game!

He wasn't booked

No they didn't :)

I know, got it mixed up with the reading game!! But still he hasnt been showing the form of a top class striker until the last couple of weeks but the pundits were still saying he would rip united apart hahahah :p

No pundits said he would rip Utd apart. Yes he's had a poor game but he had no service whatsoever. He's scored 10 goals in 13 starts which is excellent but he can have a good game.

We keep being told by Utd fans that Ronaldo's the best player in the world but yet again he went missing in the big games, which is why he's certainly not the best in the world.

Most professionals and pundits would disagree :)

Edit: Unless it's that alcoholic druggy Merson :)

Maybe so

These are the same professional pundits who always back their story up with Crouch's international record yet when you scratch the surface he scores against mediocrity for the main part.

for persistent fouling.

You are joking right?

Nothing wrong with most of his challenges. If 'cardboard' Carragher hadn't have gone down so easily and Mr Halsey wasn't having one of his pro-Liverpool days, I doubt any fouls would have been given at all really.

But thats all he's played against, so you could say he scores against everybody for the main part :)

The only starts for England he gets are against mediocrity, you can only beat the man in front of you as they say.

For Liverpool he has goals against Arsenal and Utd including a hat-trick, as well as some very important CL goals.

Diego Forlan has scored a brace at your place before today but he's still not world class either

Andy gray et al wouldn't shut up about him.. they all predicted a Liverpool win once again (apart from Ray Wilkins) . Same happens year in year out. "This is Liverpool's year". You do have to laugh! Maybe next year lads..... ;)
