Gran Turismo 5 Prologue

Will add some in later

Requests?

You want to see Suzuka on FM2 Compared to This?

Yes please, I always thought FM2 wasted a lot of power on the circuits, which IMO were built very well and they could have cut back some of that to give AA on the cars, has GT5 got 3d crowds?

Even though I've had GT:HD, GT5p Demo and now GT5p, this is one game that I am still gobsmacked by how good it looks!

I sometimes just sit there watching the intro's and replays because they do look so stunning, or maybe I'm just sad :D

And @ Mr Latte, I was already using the Honda, so I guess I just totally suck, will try again later lol.

Thanks, so not quite as impressive as the replay mode, and quite a few jaggies about, but still looks rather nice, I guess the pics of the Clio and Lancer are a bit warped or something, looks like the car has buckled :D mind you probably looks all great in motion :) going by those pics would still say PGR4 was very close if not better, especially when add in the weather effects :)

I will check out some sim forums and see if any PC sim racers have tried this one out yet, but normally any console game gets slated as arcade haha :D

Those are warped because of the zoom and camera angle.
Because the visuals are so good, mainly on the cars thats why ive refered in the past its a REAL SHAME they havnt gotten past the jaggies issue. If their was 2xAA on these cars then they would seriously be OMG.

Ive tried to explain that even with the games supposed res of 960x1080
It still offers more pixels than 1280x720 would. This also explains why jaggies are more problematic on horizontals with the limited 960 pixels.

PGR4 creates dramatic atmosphere and great game enchancing weather.
Although buildings in London for instance are more detailed in this demo. Picidilly is a fine example.

GT5P also uses shadows quite effectively as they are very dark areas on the tracks that can hinder your view and also become gameplay characteristics.

PGR4 is nowhere near the graphical quality of Gran Turismo 5. Screenshots don't really do it any justice. That's like comparing airport food to a sunday roast.

It's not possible to screenshot the difference between 30 and 60fps though, I'm sure PD could manage something far more amazing if their standards were set so low.

Replays are 30FPS though

:o

I don't think anyone can seriously say PGR4 is nowhere near that quality, not even the biggest Sony fanboy, come on try and be fair.

Ok its as simple as this, jaggies aside GT5 cars are close to real.

The lighting , shaders , detail and car modelling is not surpased on any other racing game im aware of at this time.

PGR4 isnt close to this detail or quality in cars:

I've played both GT5p and PGR (Extensive ammounts of PGR3, and 15-20mins of PGR4)

Both are absolutely fantastic games, PGR4 looked absolutely stunning when I first saw it, and so does GT5p, GT5p takes console racing graphics to a whole new level and it does look better than PGR4, I would say GT5p is hands down the best looking racer around at the moment.

However, its only a matter of time before we see a PGR5\Forza 3 (Or whatever the next 360 racer is to be called) and that it looks better than GT5p, its just progression, and to me its obvious that the next big racer title will look better than the last.
