Can you get safety shoes that don't suck?

I have to wear steel toe capped shoes at work, even in the office.
My current shoes, issued by work have worn out but I don't want them replacing as they're uncomfortable and they rip my socks to bits

Can you buy decent safety shoes?

Have a search in google for Caterpillar boots. look for the ones with Titanium safety toe, Techniflex²× construction and Goodyear soles. I've worn them for years

mine have been fine for a good few years
but i do wear my non capped shoes more often than my capped ones, which are all round more rigid

Anyone know where you can get the older style steel toe DM's with the rounded toe rather than the redesigned ones with the big squared off toe?

Edit: a few years ago we had some trainer style ones, they looked like a slim hiking shoe but were steel toed. No idea who made them though

what do you actually do ? just office work or out and about / warehouse work kinda thing ? make it a bit easier looking for shoes if we know what your job involves
