Bad Weather can cause disruption to Sky.. as its Satelite, but if its Cable or Freeview, it should be okay.. unless the weather is seriously bad..

Only needs to get slightly cloudy here and we start to lose channels. If it rains really heavy we get no freeview reception at all... damn digital TV!

It's amazing isn't it? To think that once everyone has Freeview they will lose all their channels when it rains. You'd think they could make the signals waterproof or something

Encase the signal in a waterproof carrier, I like it :)

The signal level should get an increase when the analog has been switched off, that's what I've read and they're doing this switch off area by area taking till something like 2010.

Yup, at the moment most areas are broadcasting the digital signal at a fraction of the power of the analogue one to prevent interference with neighbouring areas, eventually they will turn the digital signal up to the same strength as the analogue one is now.

and then we will all get headaches and the risk of cancer will go up!

I joke :p

If you have only lost certain channels I would re-scan your box.

I have a media centre PC and I loose channels everytime they mess around with the channel line up. e.g when they added NUTS TV, I lost BBC1 to BBC3 and a few others.

A re-scan sorts it out for me.

I still don't get BBC1,2 or 4 - and have re-scanned numerous times. Probably because N.Ireland is the last to switch to Digital. All the other channles are great and far better quality than analogue.

Can still get them on normal TV, so don't really mind (as we have too much rubbish to watch anyway and spend most of our TV time on CBBs or CH4)
