Everyones best 5 games of the year ?

In the wrong order:

2) Orange Box
1) UT3
5) Trackmania United
3) Richard Burns Rally (only got it this year!)
4) Crysis
 
I'm a bit of an oddball when it comes to games, so this years top 5 for me:

Call Of Duty 4
Trackmania United
The Orange Box (cause I never even played HL2 before lol)
Colin McRae DiRT (R.I.P scottie)
And 1 of my clancy games, either GRAW 2 or Vegas (december 16th 2006 is all but 2007:rolleyes:)

Looking ahead though, it seems its only going to get better with Spore, Vegas 2, Mercenaries, maybe even a new Trackmania. Bring on 2008:)

And another point, PES 2008 is good game but a bad sequel....

EDIT: ^Woop to the guy above who also likes Trackmania United, TMU FOREVER :p

I like to think if I owned an xbox360 then Mass Effect would be up there.
 
Going to have to say Test Drive Unlimited is probably my favorite game, All settings whacked up on a 22" widescreen with a good wheel (unfortunatly not the G25, might purchase that over the festive season), with your own music imported makes for some fun driving :)

Would put Crysis first, but ive played TDU a lot more.
 
I'd go for:

Call of Juarez (no great western fan but it's a work of art - like Max Payne -esp. on horseback)
Civ 4 BTS (excellent game - I play on my sister in law's PC when I go to Shanghai at weekends)
CoH
Stalker
NvN 2 (only for editor - it's way too easy)

I haven't played UT, Crysis, Bioshock, Witcher etc. so this list will change when/if I do.

It's been a good year, but I regret that Vanguard Saga of Heroes sucked on release.

I do regard HS pretty highly dude :D

i havent finished Uncharted yet yet so maybe ill change my mind. ill do a mini review when im finished but let me just say one thing about it

Naughty Dog's idea of what a puzzle is: put 3 blocks of stone (of various heights) in an area and have you climb out.

do it again and again. (they done it 3 times so far) Exact same blocks of stone!! except with different textures.

But theres lots of good things about it too.

As you can see I love multiplayer games, shame we have had no MMOs or RPGs, actually I need to try Mass Effect.

In that order, it gets hard if I have to consider games not released this year, so that is my list for best of 07.

Although these games are great I think the fact that Team fortress 2, a game that is essentially the same as the original is up there shows we arn't advancing much gameplay wise. :(
Although, no doubt it is an awesome game. I feel it could be made better.

And my prediction for 2008 is....

Natural Selection2, If they can bring this to Source like what has been done with TF2, it will be the best game ever everer evererest

worse games for me are HL2 in general, and C&C3 was hugely over-rated
