Pretty sure it has all the connections, so what is best? I was going to go via VGA, but a few people I've spoken have said component is better. Anyone else using a Samsung - which do you use and what is the difference in image quality?

It's a personal choice between VGA and Component I'd say, the only way is to try them both, I think the majority prefer Component, but I always preferred VGA on my 360.

I have a 40'' Samsug and i'd go for VGA aswel, when i was using component i noticed a lot of jaggies but when i switched to VGA the edges was a lot smoother

Is HDMI an option? I have my 360 connected to my 32" Samsung via HDMI with the suggested settings from AVforums and I'm really happy with it.
Admittedly I haven't tried the other connections though.

I found VGA better than HDMI on my samsung, the HDMI PQ was almost the same as componenet which had to many jaggies for my liking

I wish the PS3 had a proper VGA connection, i'm wondering how that would affect the jaggies on a lot of the multiplatform games. Maybe it would have no affect at all, just with a lot of you saying you had jaggies on HDMI/Component compared to VGA.

I found vga to be much smoother and with less jaggies but the colours just cant match that of component so im sticking with component for now.

It would make no difference. The connections are not actually what is making the difference, It is more to do with the fact that a lot of TVs VGA connections use 1:1 pixel mapping, whereas the HDMI and Component's can over/under scan which in effect can produce jaggies etc. Varies greatly on your TV. The only one consistent thing I seem to read is that Componet gives better colours (whcih is strange as both VGA and Component use the RBG colour set).

I don't think the issue is with HDTVs with VGA ports, but more the ability to play it on a monitor. It would make things a lot easier for a lot of people who can't afford a HDTV yet.
You only have to look at the Xbox360 set ups thread to see how many people still use PC monitors.
