Hi

I'm looking to buy a new AGP graphics card. I'll be using it around 80:20 HTPC:Games. Ideally it'll be fairly quiet and I don't really wanna pay over £40. Any opinions/suggestions would be great.

ATi Radeon HD 2400 PRO 256MB
or
NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 512MB
or
ATi Radeon X1650PRO 512MB
or
Sapphire ATi Radeon HD 2400 PRO 256MB

Thanks,
Marcus

Personally I think a 2400Pro would be fine if you're only doing a bit of gaming and if you don't mind turning details down etc. Since you said you'll only be gaming on it 20% of the time I don't see it being a problem.

The passive 2400Pro is also my pick for HTPC use as it has great features, getting one myself soon.

Is the AGP Sapphire 2400pro definately passive/quiet ?

I've never seen an Asus agp 2400, where have you seen one ?
I'm pretty sure I saw one at another site but I can't say where due to competitior rules.

I just took another look at the Sapphire AGP 2400Pro on this site though and the description says "silent passive cooling", so I'd get that one. Ignore the picture as you'll find a few things on OcUK don't match the picture, they're for illustration purposes only.
