could always postpone the nammings until you have had them a while. see how they behave? One of our Cats was unnamed for about 4 weeks untill she manged to get on the kitchen side and promptly ate all the Red Peppers from a stif fry veg mix that was left over... Shes now called Pepper
Our second cat weve had from birth (Pepper is the mummy) and with its black and white coating and Motorsports family, it was named Mercedes... turned out to be a boy, but he doesnt seem to mind, even though its now shortened to Skadies!?
