The Wildhearts....

Yay! I found them.

And put my newly obtained Megadeth tickets with them :D

Was surprised to see that Wolfsbane are supporting the Wildhearts on this tour. I thought they had disappeared years ago - not complaining though, I never saw them live :D

I'll be there.
Still going, penski?

Half of the folk I'm going with have dropped out with various illnesses - fortunately I've recovered from an unpleasant cold (man flu!) and will be fit for this evening. I'll probably be hanging around the little alcove to the left of the bar on the right of the stage as you're facing it - nip over and stand around - I'm sure to recognise you :D

Listed?

Anyway, was looking forward to finally meeting you - provided you weren't going to be carrying a tub of Deep Heat with you. Going to see Megadeth in February by any chance? :D

Nah - can't stand 'em.

I should be moving to the old durham road kind of area...or possibly birtley/CLS in January...so I may be out and about less.

Aching head from too much beer? Check!
Sore feet from getting stomped on repeatedly? Check!
Cramped calves from continued pogo'ing? Check!
Arms in pain from clapping above your head for twenty minutes straight? Check!
EARS STILL RINGING? Check!

All the signs of a classic night :D

That was just a damned fine rock concert - lots of heavy guitar, happy people and moshing like only rockers in their 30s can - gently and with lots of breaks for people to catch their breath.

30's?

Last three Wildhearts concerts I went to the average age was around 45.
Not sure what the age demographic was like further back, but right up at the stage it seemed like 30s....then again, I'd had an awful lot to drink and wasn't paying that much attention to folk around me, apart from occasionally looking around me and grinning like the village idiot :D

Now that I think about it, there was an awful lot of crinklies on the terraced bit at the back :p closer to the loo :D

Did anyone go see them on this tour? Just got back from the London show, absolutly blinding. Ginger has moved to new yok for the record, hence the sale of many of his guitars (one is sat in my mates spare room now)

Love your band's set list - wish I was closer so I could see one of your gigs!

Funnily enough when you wrote this I was gigging in Macclesfield and the landlord said that we had local competition that night because there was a Wildhearts tribute band playing close by

Just to get it on record, Wolfsbane were the worst band I've ever seen live.

Wildhearts were... Well, not perfect, the main set was a bit wobbly and there was a bit too much p***ing about, for want of a better word. And why play Nita Nitro then complain about it? It's not like they don't have a hundred other songs they could have chosen. And still no Slaughtered Authors.

But the encore was fantastic.
