where is the USB port on the Ipod Video 30GB?

I am trying to buy my brother an accessory i don't want to tell him as it's a present, so where is the USB port located, Also does it matter which generation he has, i mean between each generation have the changed the USB port location?

There isn't as such, it plugs into the bottom connector which is a proprietary fitting. The cable will have a USB on the other end.

headphone jack is at the top, the power/usb connection is at the bottom.

You can get a Universal dock for it, £30, comes with a remote.
