bank statement... got two pays?

I checked my online banking today to see this... any idea why its come though as 2 payments? never had "propper" pay so its all new to me :confused:
 
One could be your wage the other travel expenses? Or something. That's my guess. :\

Perhaps they made an error on the first BACS transfer so the smaller payment was to correct it?

In that case phone up and ask. they can and will claim the money back. So if it's overpaid. better to sort it know. than to suddenly find you've gone over your limit.
 
if your working hours which you seem to be, i seriously recommend logging the hours you work in excel or similar! My job tried to con me out of 10 hours work! Bloody idiots, thought they could con a maths student out of money :rolleyes:
 
Do you have a payslip? You should. Just check the total paid into your account vs. the total on your payslip.
 
being paid early cos of xmas? y work do a 3 week pay for december and a 5 week pay january so your pay gets a little fragmented/split up and you kinda get paid twice once early and once late.

Erm, well i worked out why i got 2. First one was pay for my first day which fell in november.


Do you have a payslip? You should. Just check the total paid into your account vs. the total on your payslip.

Payslip matches up.

But.. its still too much. Works out as me working 86 hours in december which is just wrong. Meh ive left it in hands of my manager :)
