I've never played a Devil May Cry game before, but after seeing GameTrailer's video blowout in the past few weeks, I am so pumped for it!

http://www.gametrailers.com/game/1671.html

I'm not too sure what it's about, but I think you play as the original main character's younger brother. But they're both badass as hell  Oh and he's got some sort of thing growing on his arm, Dark Sector style.

PS3 is lead platform too so both consoles will get equal graphics and laglessness :)
Anyway, checkout the videos for some sweet action and choreography!

Yeah i was pretty much the same but now i cant wait for it, See there also doing a DMC4 PS3 bundle (white and black) in Japan that would be sweet if we had it over here.
As regarding the game, dont think there will be much if anything between them, even though ive heard from some sites the PS3 version is better, but i guess the differences will be so marginal no one will care (apart from fanboys of course). I know the PS3 version has a HD install that takes ages, but makes it smoother and little to no loading times, not sure if the 360 version has this or if its not needed as much due to the faster read speeds of the DVD drive.

You disappoint me more and more with every post these days Inoshishi. For such a Sony fanboy I'm amazed you are without playing the stellar titles! :p

lol Told you a million times, I got my PSTwo late into its life, same with PSOne. I was always an SNK\Sega fanboy!!

Dont worry my back catalogue of PS1/2 games is coming along nicely now :D

So you've had a PS2, PSP and PS3?
Take a walk on the wild side man!

Can't believe how many classics you've missed out on! Seriously, it's frightning.
If I can find my older PS2 games I'll send you some.

I've had pretty much every console ever made over the years, just missed a lot of the Sony stuff, only just catching up now.

Dreamcast 4 Life!!

Peace!

saw the latest vid trailer for this - was quite impressed. As the previous ones hadnt looked that great tbh (looked ps2-ish)

we shall see if dmc4 can take HS's next-gen fighting crown :D Maybes.. (yep ive played previous versions)

Really looking forward to this game, one of my most looked forward to game in 2008. Not sure whether to get it for the PS3 or Xbox360 though.

The best trailer I've seen of this was the TGS LONG Version (on the Xbox360 Marketplace)

I wouldn't say it would be much of a challenge. Devil May Cry is a top notch franchise.

one of my fav franchises, Microsoft did well to get this on their console also but not that surprised seeing Devil may Cry 3 made it to the PC. 1st was good, 2nd not so good, and 3rd back on track. Just love the intense juggling moves with the guns.

I still have the 3rd one to get done, Now the rumble works the juggling and frantic fast paced fighting will be excellent!!

Anyone know the release date for UK? may be the right time for me to get a ps3 when that comes out :)

First AAA game of 2008.

There was a comparison video on gametrailers as well and both versions look identical.

Getting it on PS3 because I can install it to the hard drive, the loading times after that are apparently nearly seamless. Looks really good, 60 fps as well :)

First AAA game of 2008 should be Alan Wake.
Burnout Revenge can also be classed as AAA.

DMC has gone downhill after the first one (a lot like Metal Gear Solid really), but I dunno whether you could class it as AAA. Seems like wishful thinking to me. To be AAA a game has to be continually high quality through every iteration, DMC hasn't been.

The installation to the HDD is to aid loading, I don't believe it loads the whole game to the HDD. The Xbox360 doesn't have to do this because it has a faster drive. Just looks like an excuse to get it on PS3. Personally, I'll get it on whichever format it performs better on.
