So how much have you spent for Xmas?

About £15 as yet for a cd for my mum...that's gonna rocket up tomorow when i go shopping in Glasgow. Gonna be atleast £200 on myself for some clothes for my work night out on Saturday. Then it's both sets of grandparents, brother, dad and girlfriend! Uh i hate christmas!!!!!

Good post TS.

I was speaking about this last night. We spent £250 on shopping last night and that's without the Turkey and fresh veg. Lots of booze though.

Coupled with all the kids presents, I think £1k is about right. We all decided this year not to buy for adults outside the walls we live in. I told my folks I'd rather you spend the money on the kids tbh.

I think xmas is just another way to build up massive debts...The best way I found to save on money is to fall out with all your family about a week before xmas, or when they have given you your presents, then you dont have to give them anything, and then make up with them new years day, youve saved money, got away from the family, and gained new stuff, all in 1 go :)

about £200 on my GF, £35 on my mum and not got my dad anything yet. I think the money spent on booze over the festive season will outweigh that though.

My toll is now no longer climbing, all presents bought (major ones anyway) so its just small bits & pieces to go now, table presents etc.

This Christmas is going to be the most expensive one of my life ... On the other half's xmas list she asked for a baby. I seem to have obliged :D

Congratulations :D Have fun trying :p

Mrs works in Barhill, she tells me cars couldn't get in the carpark from 10 this morning. She reckons she's dragging me around there from 7 tommorow morning to beat the rush

You had better set that alarm tommorow, there's a nuclear war coming no ones told us about :D

Omg! Hmm I think we'll get out extra early as well, lol you know what will happen don't you? Everyone will have the same idea :p

Maybe £500 on pressies, expect to spend about £150 on food on Sunday, £300 odd on nights out over the next month etc. I love Christmas though, money is for spending after all (unless you get into debt, which is stupid) :)

only spent about £220 so far on family. Anticipate spending another £80 but thats it no more.

still im saving more than i did last year....spent £500 on gf's present alone (a holiday) :|

edit: never again..

Ive just been and done my food shopping, and its like the bloody cold war is coming!!! The shops will only be shut for like 2 days (if that) why do people need 28 pints of milk and 12 loaves of bread!!!
Some people were pushing two trolleys round, both piled high!
Mental!!!

Exactly I could understand it they were shut for the month, but after 2 days I like to get out anyway. Plus you know that chocolate aisle in the supermarket? Well everything down there will be half price on the 27th of december. I hit that aisle hard and fast on the 27th :D

£100 quids worth of choccy for £50. I buy none of that stuff til the sale.:)
