Somebody will fall for this........

I see he has bought some sulphar and potasium Nitrate in his buyer feedback ,I am pretty sure they are the main ingrediants for gunpowder ...so the spear gun might be the least of anyone who complains worries !!

That's exactly what I was thinking too... remote control heli as well.

Airborne explosive arrow launcher maybe?

But the title AND listing clearly states it is a picture.

Secondly, what are you talking about? It's a buy it now listing
No, it does not *clearly* state. Are you really that thick?

My mistake on the price. Wasn't paying much attention to it, only the blatantly misleading content.

Its blatantly misleading and anyone who says otherwise is a gimp,

say for example you mum went on the bay to buy this laptop for your Christmas present for use at uni or what ever, and then all she gets through the post is a photo, obviously she is really upset about this so what do you say to her "lol it's your fault you silly mare it's blatantly not a laptop"

I don't know about some of you people on here but I think it's wrong taking advantage of other peoples ignorance, not everyone is as clued up as the next man/woman, that doesn't mean you have the right to rip that person off, it's just plain wrong.

I am not defending it

But it is listed in ART digital art

not in the computer section

if it was a arty pic of say nude model then there would be no problem

it clearly state a picture

Obviously most of you defending his actions aren't old enough to remember one of the original misleading titles -
XBOX BOX For Sale.

It was bought to me by a potential buyer about 5 years ago to see if it was a bargain or not and I confess I missed it the first two times.
We then passed it on to others and everybody failed to pick it up.
People will fall for things because most of us skim when we're reading.
Others will miss it because they have reading disabilities.
Some will miss it because they're thick but everybody has to be protected.
That con has been tried many times on EBAY and been taken off - this will be taken off also.

Noticed he/she goes on to write "Specifications for a dell inspiron laptop" - this is yet another clue that you aren't bidding on an actual laptop - at least that's how I'd read it.

And why be such a **** end and ruin the joke.

Bit rude, and I doubt that this is a joke, just a way to make quick cash from someone who may not have read or misread/not understood the auction.

I personally think that the listing is misleading for anyone who doesn't take the time to read it though, the fact it is listed in "Digital Art" could be easily missed, I'm guessing your average Joe/Jane would simply use the front page search for keywords - and guess what gets listed with a tempting price and free delivery....

At this time of year when people may be rushing to get gifts, 'small print' is likely to be easily missed by a good few people, and as others have pointed out, your less than internet savvy relatives may fall for something like this.

Scort.

Errr, let me highlight the title for you:

Dell Inspiron M1330 picture, take a look

and how about the listing?

you are bidding on a picture of a new dell inspiron m1330 laptop.

And i'm the thick one?

Obviously someone trying it on and not genuine "art"; anyone who defends this should be shot with the speargun tbh ...... ffs have some integrity ...... you never know, you might need some help ane day.

How can people say this is 'ok', its a complete scam that may take advantage of someone who's english isnt so fluent or just in a rush.

These people are the scum of the earth.

The title may not be misleading but the main description certainly is, if it's supposed to be a picture where on Earth are the dimesions and materials and all the stuff in the item specifics box? Also who would want to know the spec of the laptop in the "digital art". It isn't even right for the picture anyway, description says 6 cell battery but it's clearly a 9 cell battery in the picture cos it's juts out the bottom. It's is obvious that the seller has purposely put misleading stuff there to make a person think they're buying a bargain. For this they should be punished somehow.....

i agree

you know what else annoys me, i tried to sell a camera on there once had a good few emails with people interested, then when it came down to the last hour someone bid about 7 times it's price so none of the people interested would buy it and then i get some email with a whole story where they want me to post waay over seas, i told them i know you're scamming me and stuff, 5 mins later there account was closed and i had to go to the hassel of reclaiming my fees back as they were quite high cause he bid so high....very annoying people on ebay, don't use it anymore.

I just messaged him to say I would like to purchase 3 of them @£600 each.

Said I had no Paypal account, however I have a picture of £1800 here I could send him as payment.

I await his response.....

didn't read thread,

I thought it was the ebay rules that you bid on the description of the object not the title, so if it describes a one thing and then they send something else they are breaking the rules?

I just tipped this to kotaku.com :D But my name is Seb Castilho... which bears a resemblance to their previous newspost about a killer called Antonio Castillo :O

ok, i set up a false email account many a moon back to buy fake items etc......and basically screw over the conartists..shall i buy it??
