I want to buy a punching bag, but i know nothing about them...

im probably going to be using it for 30+ minutes a day...and my price cap is around 100 pounds...

any links to websites or stores i can buy them from would be appreciated and recommended bags...

Thanks
Mayhs

p.s. someone said they normally come 'unstuffed'...if so, what do you put in them? and id rather have stuffed ones if possible...and forgive my 'noobiness' on this topic

+ what gloves?

I would look carefully at the stand/supports. Hitting them without good supports is likely to result in them coming out of the wall or ceiling!

There's been at least 3/4 threads started on this in the past 6 months, if you have a search you will find some good advice and recommendations.

Never wrapped my hands, but will start now I've read up on it.

For safety, are sparring gloves ok(I have some 12oz. ones), or is there a significant advantage held by bag gloves?

Anyone got any particular tips for the wraps?

Right, firstly make sure you wrap your hands properly and have a good set of gloves. A bad combination of these could result in hand injuries leading to terrible hand related problems. Also you need to be sure you can punch properly, again wrong form / posture can result in injuries.

As far as a good bag goes, check out the Title website. Thats where i got mine from, and its excellent. I have mine attached to a wooden beam in the roof. Been there now for 2 years and never had a problem.
