Anyone still playing Dead Rising? (Late to the party...)

I completed it but never played the overtime mode. Ended up selling it, couldn't see myself playing it again.

Would definitely welcome Dead Rising 2, especially if they sorted out some of the annoying things that are wrong with DR.

I got this a couple a of days ago and really loving, I'm at level 12 so far. Is there any way of stopping the convicts in that humvee from respawning?

You have to totally destroy the jeep.

I've played for about an hour today, very fun game, especially with the gore and the antics one can perform

I am however annoyed by them prisoners in Jeep, bleeming turret guns kept killing me whilst I was trying to escort that Sophie girl...

Those prisoners in the jeep annoy everyone. They're a piece of cake at high levels (20+) but below that they'll drive you nuts. Best move is to get them to chase you and then run into a bunch of closely nestled together trees. They're a bit thick so they'll get stuck there. Then just take pot shots at them until they die.

i wavt to get back into this, but am un motivated due to being stuck on the girl with a bike section

nothing i do allows me past it - i kill her, it fails - i dont kill her, i get killed

what was wrong with DR? I thought other than the story being slightly on the short side it was great.

Stand on the scaff (i know iv spelt the bugger wrong) and pick up the nail gun at the end of the walkway. Wait till she drives close to you and then let rip. If your feeling adventurous grab the katana/axe from the antiques shop in the area and hit her a few times with them.

Although my recommended and quickest method would be to use the mini chainsaws. Hit her twice and she's dead.

Yer, at lower levels you can get killed killed really quickly by them. Have a quick read of this absolutely amazing guide that some clever sole from OCuK wrote

He's a top guy

Mate, that is the easiest 'boss'. Get to the middle of the scaffolding and fall right to the bottom. Make sure you have a ranged weapon and just take pot shots at her as she drives around you. Fend off any zombies that manage to come close.

Personally I'd say the only boss in DR that even poses a very slight challenge is brock, the final boss - and that's even easy imo.

Cletus (gunshop owner) was my hardest boss. My first encounter with him ended up with me dying quite a lot, and I had to avoid him completely until I was a higher level.

Stand behind the display stand near the entrance. If you position yourself just right he can't shoot you.

Yeah, I initially tried that but things can go wrong...especially if his shotgun blasts knock it over

I ended up throwing books and saucepans at him before being eaten by zombies watching with amusement near the door

If you watch a few vids on the tube of dreams, you can position yourself so he doesn't shoot at you. Its kind of a glitch i supposed

Interesting read - I'm going to restart the game because I've somewhat missed a lot of PP from my poor photography skills and played into Case 3 at level 9 only :/

I'll try and hit straight to the tunnel ASAP and then level up before doing the case, there is just so many things to do / need to do in this game! Trying to do escort, the case (within time limits) and god! I need more films! (I'm guessing it is outside the mall somewhere when the copter swayed...

^ Don't try and do everything at once. The game was made so that it wouldn't be possible. Pace yourself and decide what you want to do. Follow the main storyline? Explore? Level up your char as much as possible without doing the storyline? etc.

You can't see or do everything in one sitting so you'll end up playing it a few times over, leveling your char much further until he's a god. I ended up playing the game around 8 times and had a total blast doing it. Probably one of the best gaming experiences I've had on the 360.

BTW, my brother is totally addicted to this game and so am I.

Have to resist playing it till the Friday after, got exams! :eek:
