As i'm a Track day virgin, I presume helmets are needed on Track Days? is it a case of bring one or can you hire one there usually?

Just today I took the car out for a good thrashing down some lanes, same symptoms

I've been researching my symptoms on the ITR forum, all point to the 3rd gear syncro being on its way out/knackered....

One question, how easy is it to get into first in your car from say 2nd if your doing 10mph or so? I have to come to a pretty much a complete stop otherwise it's like I'm hitting a wall slotting it into 1st.

I'm hoping they are somehow clutch related.

Damn, it's not a cheap fix either - I thought I had a similar issue but i'm 90% sure it's me not fully depressing the clutch.

Same as you really, it's tough to get it into 1st at much more than 10mph.

I wouldn't want to end up on a busy track full of extreme hardware messing up peoples lap times.

Thats my main concern, well that and my lack of driving talent

Voted Snetterton simply because its a stones throw away and quite a forgiving track for a noob.
