A bit earlier while eating a bag of crisps a felt a crack from one of my teeth ( upper molar )

rear half of tooth now feel loose but front is still fixed so it looks like I have broken it

managed to get an appointment for 10.20 tomorrow morning which quite surprised me, couldn't leave it though as I am off to Vegas early on Boxing day

looks like being a great Christmas day

Now that is bad luck......Last place I would want to be on Xmas day is in the dentists chair - It's bad enough on any day of the year. I would make sure you don't get any major work done mate, otherwise you may end up spending your dinner with no feeling in your mouth.

Surprised you could get an appointment on xmas Day.

A crisp broke your tooth? Your teeth are a bunch of big sissys, sort them out :p

That should be expensive and we all know expensive things = fun so you have nothing to worry about, it'll be a laugh.

I am registered as NHS patient, even though the one I am going to is not my dentist they say I will just pay NHS rates

went to my dentist which was closed, there was a phone number on the door, this put me through to NHS direct

they got a dental nurse to call be back who put me though to something called "first point of contact" and they sorted the appointment

was all very efficient really

was wondering if it could wait but when I told NHS direct that the back was loose they said it needed looking at

Ah the difference being yours is loose, the whole back of my tooth came out in the toffee you see. :p
Best to get it looked at whilst you can, I must get mine sorted in the new year.

Quite good aren't they. I had emergency dentistry on Easter bank holiday Monday. £15.90, sorted :D
