As this topic covers all areas of hardware, I thought here would be the best place to ask.

As the title, can we expect a "January Sale" here?

Alas, not for me, a mate of mine has had £500 for Crimbo & wants to blow it on his PC, he asked me if Overclockers had any such sales on, I said I did not know but, would find out..........:o

No idea. But I would be surprised if they did... for the very reason that lots of people get money for Christmas so I'd guess January is probably a good time for them.

You know you've been here too long when you can quote that every year!

As has always been said, OcUK prices are already discounted for your convenience... Unless this year is somehow different, I'd expect the same.
 
im also waiting till jan before spending £2000 for a new pc, monitor and laptop, main reason for waiting was the penryns but since they are pushed back ill just get a cheap conroe for now. Since thats not a lot of money to get a decent gaming pc, monitor and laptop im realy hoping there will be january sales here at OcUK, if not ill just have to take my money elsewhere where itll be more afordable due to sales.

Also, this will proberly get removed from the thread or get me banned possibly for saying this, but saying OcUK is already discounted isnt compleatly true, some things are the cheapest around, but some things also have quite a bit of markup on them compared to other places, which cancels out any savings on the already discounted stuff.
 
I have been holding off spending the guts of £1200 on a new gaming rig from OCUK - I want one of their overclocked ultimas but if there are better deals elsewhere, I'll be going I'm afraid

yeah they bit expensive lol was looking a site otherday before xmas and ocuk was in there hall of shame top 10 overpriced wii deals along with a couple of dodgy ebay sellers claining there was so high casue they were giving some to charity lol

ps. hope i dont get in trouble for pointing that out lol article not up now its after xmas.

no thats quite true. there are cheeper places for maybe 50% of the products here. i could probably run off a list from my elbow to my wrist of other places that you could find the odd item cheeper and i, in all probability use those places myself from time to time. I organise a lot of systems for friends though and i always send them here to get their stuff as theres no around and delivery is good. well packed and on time. their rma is generally pretty good also.. with the odd slipup :rolleyes:
