Tate is the new companion, that daft bint from last season has been ditched over to torchwood (because she was absolutely crap and i'm guessing the bbc gave her too long a contract?)

Awesome. Should've made it longer but at least 3 episodes is better than none.
Agree. She was absolutely lifeless. Just hope they kill her off rather than allow her back at a later date once she's learnt how to act.
I don't really understand how she got the role in the first place, quite expressionless and not "tv pretty" either. Then again compared to the bounce and empathy that Piper put into the role anybody would have been a poor replacement.

Nope, hes doing 3 specials plus an xmas episode for 2009, and hes yet to say if hes leaving after that
Cathy Tate said he was leaving during a radio interview but hes dismissed that as rubbish

without wanting to be a who-geek, I'm pretty certain that the master was able to regenerate more than he should, so, it is possible that they'll eventually sort it all out

The Master was given a fresh set of regenerations by the timelord council and he occupied 2 hosts as well.
