Booking a holiday? where are you going!!

going to NewZealand in about 2 weeks time, with a stop over in Dubai and Sydney.

cant wait, should be nice and warm over there now :)

Dunno yet. I'm planning to do a roadtrip with a few mates on the west coast of America sometime in the autumn and then NY shortly after - probably around October time. Before that I might hit Helsinki around April time, fancy doing Moscow in summer and if I can get the time I might take a flight to Reykjavik in February.

I normally do these things on an impulse though and book no more than a few weeks in advance so I'll just have to wait and see.

What you will soon realise about Egypt is that they don't do thermometer's. Simply because it scares people.

If your going to Egypt Luxor is the best base, if your near a beach your doing it wrong. If you want beaches you can find them closer and cheaper and in Egypt they are a distance from all the cool stuff.

yeh i went to luxor, soon as you walk out the hotel you'll be chased by 20 taxis and horse&carts and randoms trying to sell you stuff, if you tell em to eff off they'll still follow you, got rather annoying. There was a mc donalds near by which gave me the runs :/ (rat meat). The air is too hot to bare for long periods of time. Went to the museum in cairo and almost collapsed, my ice cold bottle of water went hot :/ meh rant over.

you where in Egypt and you ate mcdonalds . why eat local food and enjoy it. As for rat meat who cares it's still meat and won't give you the runs.

I know what you mean. The museum in Cairo is just brutal. Still worth a visit and you force yourself to keep going because there is so much to see. Could spend days in there alone.

As for the Hassle, I found it worse the first few days because they know when everybody arrives but a pair of sunglasses and a firm and not always polite no do wonders.

I went there as well, best view you will ever get from a McDonald's as it over looks the local temple. Meal is massive and cheap as chips compared to what you get at home.

Couldn't help but laugh at the little Egyptian fella putting on hat, gloves and massive winter coat to go into the freezer to get more baps. They just aren't used to any cold temps. :D
