you win it as a bonus song after you beat the end boss, i never bothered with it on easy so i dont know if you can get it through that difficulty

but i need gh3 back now, it's soo addictive. was busy working (scraping) my way through hard when my friend took it back :(

Got it yesterday and completed easy and medium. When i first started medium last night i was crazy bad but as they say practice makes perfect and i have now 5 stared a lot of tracks. Yesterday i couldn't dream of pulling off some of the stuff i can do today. That dragon force track is impossible on normal though and i downloaded the free tracks plus the foo fighters pack (Mainly for all my life) although thats quite a tricky track on medium. Ive managed to train my pinky quite well on the blue fret but i think i will be going up to hard soon but i can't for the life of me see how i am going to use the last fret. Do people stretch their pinky all the way to the orange fret or move their whole hand?

I found Easy and Medium easy on GH3 but OMG! Hard is just insane for me... haven't even looked at the next level up yet!

I know practice makes perfect but anyone have any tips for playing in hard mode? (As asked by adam cool dude) Stretching pinky or move whole hand? I tried moving whole hand and I just loose my placing and my index just keeps pressing the red think it's green when I reach for orange.... :o
 
Mrs got me this for Xmas, never really been anything I've been interested in but I love it. Only on easy, getting used to it but all the non gamers at my house yesterday loved it too.

When I finished the slayer song, I dont think I blinked for 4 minutes.
 
It depends what the phrase is like - if there's a lot of or orange then move your whole hand and when a green comes stretch your index finger. I find stretching your index is far easier than pinky. You just need to play the song a few times and try and learn the pattern and note chart.

I'm no god on it - i've done easy and medium and right now i've done all songs on hard apart from Metallica - One (i've even done raining blood :p). The first 75% is relatively easy but the solo kicks my ass :( the most i've done is 92% of the song then i fail!

I still love it though. I can play and complete a few songs on expert but i want to finish hard though!
 
That's the 'trick' I'm using ***_captain. Since going onto hard I've shifted my entire hand so my pinky is on the orange and I stretch my index for the green.

I won't say it's easier, but it's certainly helped.
 
I've not had as much time on this as I'd like, 5 starred them all so far but I've just hit the hammer on and pull off tracks like The Who and Weezer, I'm determined to do them right and not just strum the notes though, other new people had problems with these ones? :)

Btw I've typed all this on my new iPod touch this thing is a must have gadget guys :D

What the hell is the point in playing it on a pad?

Guitar Hero III is the only one I didn't buy on release day... I might pick it up, but it's lost its appeal now. We'll see.

i tryed that but i totally lose my button placement when i move my hand back up ^^. Now gonna train myself up to use the new hand position as it did help. Back to easy :P
