**CALL OF DUTY 4 MODERN WARFARE**

how do you reckon my current rig could handle this game at 1680x1050? It runs fine at 1440x900 maxed out, im happy to drop AA to 2x because of the higher res.

my rig in sig run it maxed out at 1680x1050, with 16xaa/af and full quality settings, and i still have to enable vsync to avoid tearing, so it should run fine, as my PC isn't a LOT better than yours.

Just finished single player. Wow that was good. It seems i can only complete Call of Duty games on single player. Nothing else keeps me hooked on.

anyone know if there is any sort of copy protection in COD4 that limits how many computers it can be installed on, like bioshock? I ask because i was thinking of buying it from a website that has a decent deal on atm, but my fx5600ultra and amd xp 1.3ghz cant run the game, by my brothers pc will run it fine. So can i buy it now cheaply during the sale, let my brother run through single player (not multiplayer though, as im guessing it requires an account tied to the CD key, which i plan on using eventully) then when i get a new system next month, install it on my computer and play it myself.

Or is there copy protection to stop it being installed on multiple pcs like that?

There's no copy protection like that, only thing you cant do is have two people playing online at the same time on the same cd-key. You can both play the multiplayer as long as its not at the same time.

Single player just requires the DVD in the drive and nothing else I think, no "activation" or anything. Multiplayer just doesn't allow the same DVD key to be online twice at the same time.

great thanks, at least when i get the game then it wont be sitting on a shelf collecting dust untill i get a new rig.
