u see that professional is a different symbol to the one on the car setup screen at the event setup for the fuji race (3rd one down right?)_

the Lotus 111r event is a professional event (sim) thats why its tough!

the skyline GTr, EVO type event is also arcade style!

Nickg its obvious which ones are sim when you get to the race, in sim races you cant just tramp the throttle.
i drive with all aids off anyways

Im fully aware of sim mode and the pre-race screen as any advanced player should be

Try the 599 or the F430 with all aids off its still very challenging in this race.

Technically yes your right but im pointing out that its still a rather more difficult race because of the cars involved.
Its still classed as harder difficulty

Downloaded this last night and won a couple of the 1st races this morning :)
Awesome graphics, but control with the joypad is hard work. Will rush out soon and try and find a decent wheel, this games gonna be addictive I can tell :)
I clicked on GT news about 5 minutes ago, and its trying to download the update I think. At least I hope its the update, and not an interview with a Japanese racing driver :)
Hope to see some of you on the tracks soon!

I have to admit that the game does have some vey annoying factors with online racing and its slowness. You also can get penalities at times its not your fault.

However although im using a wheel i would say that this is "in racing terms" the most addictive and fun racing game this year. Yes its very limited but what it does do is create fantastic races online and yes some of the most frustrating youll ever come across (depending on other players driving)

I ended up playing this game that much yesterday online that i earned over 50,000,00 in credits. I have however become wuite good and can now easily fight my way back to the top 3 in many races if im spun off early...

Yes the wheel gives you an advantage but its also trickier to use and keep on the limit.
 
Are there 2 updates to download? I went onto GT Tv and its updating something, is there another bigger update to enable multiplayer?

ya the thing is that its so frustrating to get nerfed because the game is so good and u want to win! all the races ive had ive enjoyed pretty much. the cars are all ace, the tracks are good, the sound is good! You're having a monster race and someone plebs you off by ramming you, it aint good!

the fix to me would be;

if in braking zone, and car on car contact is going to happen at >10KMPH the car which was going to collide, i.e the faster travelling one should go "invisible" and go through the slower car.

this would, a, funk over those who use other cars to slow down for corners (as they will keep overshooting the apex and not bother anyone else in doing so), b, not penalise faster cars if an idiot brakes ages too early for a slower corner as car behind would go through and not bang the first car off the track...giving them both the benefit of the doubt

also headlights on a button would be good, so u can flash the opponents, and also dashboard should light up on in car view, in soem circuits its too in the shadow and not visible!

Theyve changed a few of the events too.
You no longer do Fuji with other cars, well certainly not the F599


Challenge Me?
I just had a try on the Japan Suzuka Time Trial.
Now ive played this track a lot from other games (Since F355) and
Spent 30 mins with a TVR (too slow but car i just bought) then moved to the new NIssan GTR

Some guy has got the No.1 Time in a GTR so hey lets see how i compare.
So within 6 laps of driving the GTR im only .8 off the current No.1 Time



Now for those of you that are unsure of this game becaue of past GT games or think its generally new so hyped let me explain:
The sensation this game is giving me with my setup is incredible. Im right on the edge and you can feel the car dancing, adrenaline is absolutely pumping out of me. You cant beat that feeling if your a lover of racing games and this to me is a rare thing that racing games usually do not achieve.

After i calm down i will have another go but gees im fabbergasted with how hard the game allows you to push and you just keep finding that little bit more time per lap yet know your pushing your limits with increased knowledge of how the car feels/handles on each corner.

So, your time to beat on Suzuka lads in a GTR

could be sports yea, its the 16 man race GTR 07 Only!!

i won 1 but starting from the back of the grid all the time sucks, but if u can get round corner 1 without losing 10secs u can win!!

edit, did 1 flying lap of suzuka in the GTr07, got a 2:13 lol. not done it before it that car though!

They need to make it easier for EU people to purchase Japanese goods, then this thread would be buzzing a hell of a lot more. As it is, it's limited to a scant few people right now.
