WOW got the game running like it should now , have to say its a pity you cant play the sas all the time , the missions are far better than the gun ho us ones , limited equipment , hiding sneeking wow , loved the heli mission when you got to help your team by blowing up the bad guys pure class , i have to rate this game above crysis for sheer involment in it! now you wants a mutiplay !
Multi-player is fine but it's a bit of a frag-fest. Especially the tiny one with the containers. It just gets silly and has me in stitches. :D

Sweetspot for me is a reasonably large map on Team Deathmatch with about four players per side. That way, you can be reasonably tactical about it.

its all down to what you like nothing is the right answer.some like carnage on 50 man servers, ohers 10 man s and d, domination whatever floats your boat.i used to like playing seriously but play now more for fun.so i am often on large 30-50 man severs.

Agreed, the server we rent is 12-player max, and we either run it in DM or TDM. Teams of 5 or 6 we find is really good fun, but I guess everyone has their preference. Removed Shipment from the map rotation though, as we have 20 minute games as opposed to having a score limit.

I've yet to find anyone yet who pepperpots... ('bounding overwatch' for all you yankee types). Are there any serious clans out there?

w00p! Just ordered my copy after deliberating whether to get it or not. £19.99 with free delivery, not bad like. Can't wait to see what all the hype is about! :D

It hasnt been called 'pepper-potting' for about a million years, 'Fire and Manouvre' is the term most people would use. No movement without fire and no fire without movement.

Ok I'm stuck. On veteran I think...

Has been "interesting" getting this far... but now I'm at the

Bit where you're in the helichopper just before you get nuked and you're on the gun. I can't get past the first 2 groups without dying. What exactly should I be shooting at here?

RPG teams and those AA guns i believe

Just proves how easy and nub this game is :(
It's not easy at all imo. Every MP game I play, I get owned with 0.5 KDRs and worse sometimes.

Although saying that, my best moment came yesterday when I melee'd 5 enemies in a row. I tend to just sprint around. Suppose I got lucky.

Fair enough mate, but if you ever played games like mohaash and codUO you would understand my point.

It took me ages to get pro @ codUO, but it took about 30 minutes with cod4.

The lack of recoil, well im just repeating myself i said this twice in this thread :(

edit: the recoil isnt so bad if you train with the ak47 ( a weapon i see being rarely used due to the m4 being so easy to use)

Basically, the best weapons in UO were the ones with the most kickback/recoil and you learnt to control them to hit your target

With cod4 its just plain aim and shoot :(

IDD, it was the same from CoD/UO to CoD2 and now its even worse from CoD2 to CoD4. If you were good on those games then there isn't anything to learn on CoD4.

Most people who play FPS's find it really easy to get to grips with CoD4, probably because its so so basic, and I love it for that reason.

Got a sweet tooth for DM at the moment, our 20 man server gets rather mental when it's filled with skilled people. I've just about been hitting even with K/D ratio some rounds!

sorry if this has been asked already but this is quite a big thread to read through lol anyways.....
When you have high damage assault rifles like a the AK47 or G3 is there much point having stopping power perk on them ?

like if a G3 can down a full health guy with 2/3 shots the stopping power perk isnt gunna make much difference is it as i read NO guns only the sniper can down a guy in 1 shot ? , i dont spose theres some kind of table somewhere showing all the weapon damage values is there ?
