I've just got Gears of war for the xbox360.

Played about 45mins today, and i feel terribly ill.

Does anyone else get motion sickness from this game or other games?

Its the first time i've felt like this :(

I get it in Half Life 2 yet absolutely nothing else, even other steam engined games

Not with GOW, but I just had a strange moment with Guitar Hero 3 which I started playing today. I had just finished a song when I looked down to the Amp to see what volume setting it was on and the box appeared to be rippling / bending! I guess it was my eyes trying to re-focus on the room after being fixed on the strum line for so long.

I haven't seen or tripped out like that in a long time!!

LCD or CRT? Refresh rate?

I used to suffer badly on CRT until I got a much higher refresh rate. I never played any shooters in the days before LCD because after 10 minutes I'd feel sick. I couldnt even watch people play 3d platformers.

I get it in quite a lot of FPS games, Half Life 2 was definetly the worst though, so much so i feel sick when i even think about playing it.

The first game to ever make me feel sick was Turok on the n64.

i get it sometimes on certain fps games, but gears of war was fine for me. I felt a little iffy playing cod4 earlier on though!

hehe, i thought this thread was going to be down to the gore, I was going to call you a Wuss :p

But Yeah I used to get this with a game on the PC ages ago, But I don't remember which. As said above it was down to the settings on my CRT, I had a dodgy refresh rate in place.

Hope you can cure it, as GOW is awesome. Hey, Just get a bucket! :p

Just remembered the game, It was Shogun: Mobile Armor Division :D

The ONLY game that has given me a sense of papping my pants was the bridge in HalfLife2. No other game has come close to literally holding my breath and thinking I was gonna hurl.

Jedi Knight: Dark Forces used to make me feel very unwell, thankfully nothing else since then has made me feel sick whilst playing it.

I got it once while playing HL2 on a pretty crappy PC, only happened once with HL2, so I think it was the low fps that did it to me.

But I can't play F.E.A.R. at all without getting really really motion sick.

It is weird when playing a game can make you physically feel unusual.

Another game for me was Crackdown and jumping/falling from great heights. If it was a really big fall my stomach would feel like it was in going and my knees in particular would go all jelly like as if I was waiting for them to break!!
