First Street Fighter IV Footage

Sorry for the slight hijack but is the "Virtua Fighter 5 EX2 Fighting Stick (Xbox 360)" the Same as the Hori arcade Stick for the 360 and is it worth £40?

looks good just one bit of meh from me......when they say stuff like hydookun, etc it sounds like they just saying it casually not putting any umph into it!

I know its japanese hope they make it sound better!:p

Semi disappointing video for me tbh. Just want to see a whole fight not mish mashes of one mixed together, to confuse us. Obviously they can't give away too much too early, but showing you a snippet of Ryu and Ken and bits of a fight interspersed with weird black explosion effects is a bit rubbishy.

Plus I guess SF4 will be out in Arcades ll before it hits a console release, for us to "try" out.

Based on this video, I am still looking forward to SS2HD Remix more.

Last decent balanced beat-em up released was Tekken 5: DR. VF5 is rubbish (Although better than the awful DOA4) and Smash Bros does not offer the same depth as a "proper" arcade beat em up. Although to be fair it is crazy to put it into a "beat-em" up category. "Party beat-em up game for kids and some adults" would be a better description ;)

To date, the best beat em-up on the 360 remains SF2:HF and on the PS3 Tekken 5: DR, which is worrying as they are both cheap downloadable games as opposed to full polished releases

Edit:
I have found it for £20. I may just order it at that price.
I would consider buying one at that price on the off chgance a decent beat-em up gets released on the 360 (if not, it should work in MAME assuming it is the same as the DOA4 one I used to have).

They are also true to the classics though, which is why they are good, I think people like us don't want change we want the same classic game we remember as a kid with improved graphics.

Am I the only one who is really bored of Fighting games these days?

Back in the day SF2 was amazing in the arcade.
Tekken was good on the Playstation and Soul Calibur on the Dreamcast... but ever since then the genre can't really progress any further now. It just feels to me like once you've played one, you've played them all.

You battle through each character so that you can watch some cut scene... or you play two player with your sister who button bashes and beats you... or Yourself or another player is so good that you/he/she wins everytime making it really boring.

Hopefully this will see a release on the Wii, too. Currently having to 'make-do' with Soul Calibur 2, Smash Bros and SFII on the VC. :( ;)

Yes. We need a developer to step up, release something a bit different and a bit special. In this day and age you'd think they could. A game that actually feels like you're kicking the crap out of the opponent.

We also need more side scrolling beat em ups ala Streets of Rage, Double Dragon - imagine what could be done with those!

Nice find.. I paid £45 for it a few months ago. The VF5 Hori stick is just the same as the standard stick except with super awesomely cheesy VF5 stickers. The PS3 Hori stick was and still is under £20 in most places. No idea why the 360 one costs more..
