and some info that was in the listing as am not sure if i can post links to ebay here

XENON GAS SUPERWHITE (4500K) HEADLIGHT DIPPED & MAIN BEAM BULBS & SIDE LIGHT BULBS SET

Set includes 2 x H4 (driving and high beam) bulbs and 2 X 501 sidelight bulbs

The SuperWhite Xenon headlight bulbs gives a superb daylight white light with a distinct blue tint to give your car that modern HID look without any of the cost!

The blue filter reduces the yellow light emitted from the headlights whilst the XENON gas allows the bulb to burn considerably brighter to produce up to 50% more usable light on the road than a normal halogen gas filled bulb yet consume the same power @12 volts 55watts max so no wiring changes required.

Please look in our shop for other kits that include fog light bulbs

E APPROVED & LEGAL FOR ROAD USE
6 months guarantee on ALL bulbs!

The headlamp bulbs dont shine blue, they shine white.
And yeah there legal, as there the standard wattage.

The sidelight bulbs do have a blueish tinge to the light they output tho, and may give the police a reason to pull you.

I've used a few "blue" sidelight bulbs and they always just look the same as stock ones. I did actually have blue LED ones in a for a while and no one ever cared, that included the MOT tester.
If those headlight bulbs are 4500k then they will be a very nice white shade, quite similar to daylight actually.

because they'll have blue light coming out of them, a chav favourite

i have osram +50% (debatable) bulbs in my car, they are not blue at all

O lol its cos we have no chav boy racers down here that i never knew that

and if they do come out blue then i wont use them :D

i have a familey car not a boy racer car (been there and done that many years ago)

They any good in fog ? we get a lot of that down here

There's a very good chance you will find the actual light output given out by those bulbs is poor.

Any aftermarket bulb "upgrade" that has a thin coating of anything blue on its surface will have its actual lighting performance reduced. Some by a considerable amount.

I never use just sidelights in the fog, the HIDs burns through it :)

Why are you looking at those bulbs in perticular? You would be better with the philips/osram equivilant upgraded bulbs. As mentioned the blue filter reduces the light output ratio.

just found them and they seemed better i have no idea when it comes to head lamp blubs what is the best

is it pos to post links here to good blubs?

Also, just a "heads up".

I've tried loads of different "upgraded" bulbs like Philips GT150 Power2Nights, OSRAMS and PIAA's in my car.

The GT150's were a slight improvement, as were the OSRAMS.

The PIAA's however, were absolutely awful as far as lighting performance goes. Despite costing me £60 for a pair.

I had PIAA Plasma Spark H7's in mine and they were in "looks" at least, the closest I've seen to HID's.

Pic of the PIAA's below:-

On the road though, they were awful, even worse than the stock bulbs. Just goes to show that you do not always get what you pay for.

So I did what I have done previously on a few other cars and fitted an HID kit. The difference in driving at night and safety is phenomenal.

this is usually the case, the blue bulbs are blue at the expense of less than light standard

you cant have your cake and eat it

unless you buy a proper HID kit :D

Exactly m8.

Which is why I went down the road of another retro fit HID kit. ;)

mmm, perhaps quoting your post wasnt the best idea, came across as having a go at you over the bulbs

was just trying to show the OP your experience, that the blue bulbs arent worth a penny and are worse than standard :)
