Right, ivs looked on so many websites for my bedroom, i recently decorated it, it looks nice, but i have a bunkbed in my room with a desk under it, i had to build a little unit under the bed to hold my xbox 360 and ps2 just so i can have that little bit of room to move on my desk.

I bought one of those canvas wardrobes, its a really nice one and i like it and intend to keep it, but as im now 18, and have thought about what it would be like to have a girl round, or what it would be like if i had a gf, it wouldnt work when it comes to my bedroom, not only that, i cant relax in there.

So the bed has to go to be honest.

Im getting annoyed of having to jump off my bed every morning.

Slightly annoying as you might expect, but i dont have much room in my bedroom to do much so.. Only a few things i can do, nwo this evening, well just now.. ive ran up and measured it properly so now i have the sizes, i want to get a double bed in there, but its going to limit what i can get in my room by so much, so its going to be tough.

I want to get my wardrobe in there, which should fit with a bed, but i then want to get a Unit for my LCD TV, and xbox ps2 surround sound etc, i then wont be able to get anything in there, i have thought about putting my wardrobe against the wall another way i.e. sideways and put a unit up against the back of it which will then face my bed (see link for a little design on paint "Bedroom") i will then be able to get through the side of the unit to my bed, once im on the bed ill have my tv and everything i need facing me.

I will then have to get changed at the other side of the wardrobe unless i stand on my bed or use the bathroom! LOL!!

Do you see my situation here?!?!?!

Now i actually dont have a clue what to do, i really dont, it has to look nice, uncluttered and uncrowded, im useless with it, i am actually loosing the ability to think of ideas for it!!

My measurements of the bedroom are as follows:

Wall to wall

13'8 x 5'3

Thats all i have to move in.

Anyone who knows of any Units, shelves, anything that will help space then let me know.

Thanks and sorry for the long read.

James.

master ultra comfy double bed for pleasure time with girls is priority. im sure we all agree :p

entertainment unit for 360 (sorry to hear that by the way :p) and lcd tv should be next.

wardrobe third... orrrrrr get a double bed with drawers underneath to replace the wardrobe. nice spacesaver but im unsure on whether they do beds with the draws at the rear of the bed, rather than the sides...

maybe a sofabed? and with that have underbed storage, draws which pull out that can help for some storage.

Mount the TV you dont have to have some media cabinet near the tv you could have it in a space where there is some room you would need to extend the wires to the tv thou.

Look at idea furniture if anything

It has to be a double bed, cant be sofabed or anything that takes effort, i cant be bothered, bed time means bed time, not **** around time.

And im after a low kind of bed thing, the bedroom isnt big enough for any unit away from the bed so it all has to be at the end of the bed or no where and as for mountable, ive looked for some mountable units, but the wall on my left isnt very strong and on the right nothing would be suited there..

Ive thought of a few things, but nothing seems to hold up or look good in my head.

well only way your going to get some good advice is draw a floor plan (paint will do) or take pics of current room. only thing i can say now is double bed then cabinet at the very end with tv at the end of the bed

couldnt something like that work? big unit for entertainment and you simply have a gap one end to get to the bed? then simply put the wardrobe on the wall next to the entertainment unit... shelving will also be a good idea in a tightly spaced room like yours.

Link aint working dude.

EDIT: Hmmm or so it would appear. Sorry.

Lol i was just thinking as much, did you see my link in the OP i did the same, i was thinking tough would it be better with the wardrobe being against the unit or not?

I suppose thats something ill have to decide at the time, does anyone know any nice units?

Ive looked around but i cant seem to find any decent ones :)

BTW, sexytime made me laugh.

aye i did but yours seemed to be both units against the wall, not petruding into the room like mine, which for the entertainment unit, would be perfect in a room like yours. maybe you could place the wardrobe the other side of the unit to help keep the cables out of view and to split the room up and give you that extra privacy. i hope you decorated a small room like that with a light neutral colour aswell?

Wall mount TV and hang remotes from ceiling on string so they dont get lost.

Buy 50 bean bags and throw away the bags. Fill your room to knee hight with beans from bean bags.

One duvet (preferably large).

Your done. You room is simple and easy to tidy (simply bury the mess in beans). Your bed is no hassle to get into and its easilly big enough to fit numerous ladeez!.

:)

lol i love the scale of that drawing, just how many girls you expect to have in that bed? lol check out ikea, im sure you dont want to spend loads of funiture especially when ya 18 im the same age and i didnt lol ikea is cheap, looks good and made with recycled stuff which is my way of helping the planet! lol (looks at all the electronics draining power from the sockets) lol

i would go with the cabinet at the end of the bed, tv on top xbox standing verticle and ps2 to the side have the cabinet as a set of draws or something wardrobe next to the door, few shelves.

My room was painted a light colour, "something" Buscuit i cant quite remember, which is basically a beige colour, on 3 walls and the wall which my door is on is brown, but a light brown.

And as for the unit and cupboard, i was thinking put them back to back as you said, which is what i wantede to gain from my floor plan but obviously failed.
