Basicly my parents don't need fridge now, it's a small one about the height of a washing machiene, and said that I can take it if I want it , should I take it into my room, how annoying would it be to sleep with ? Anybody got a fridge in their bedroom?

Tbh I'd be awesome for me as I wouldn't have to go downstairs late at night to make myself something to eat, just keep nice stuff in my room to make nice sandwitches at night and perhaps also buy a mini oven for some oven fries or burgers mmmm. As atm what puts me off is I just don't like going downstairs to the cold living room from my heated comfy room at night and risk waking up parents by opening & closing doors etc.
Cold beer & other drinks is also a big plus I think, just worried about the noise.

Opinions?

Dont be a lazy booger and just go to kitchen. :p Besides the cooling phase noise will probably annoy you when u try to sleep and the fact fridge will cost a small ton to run so ** parents wont like that i think.

At a guess, it's going to be like having a second computer in your bedroom..depends how easily you can sleep. :)

Edit: Just "listened" to my fridge and it isn't too bad actually.

Well I often slept with pc on all night (for downloads) didn't rly bother me for sleeping.
What did annoy me though is I had to put tv volume 1 notch higher with pc on, to a lvl where my parents came complaining they heard tv through wall.
So mainly worried actually about watching tv while the fridge is working, making it impossible to hear talking on the tv on the last notch my parents can't hear. And the least thing I want is to get out of my bed to adjust the volume ( my remote is broke :().

If anyone is contemplating getting a fridge for their bedroom than get one of these,

http://www.minicoolers.co.uk/?url=products/silent/mb35.htm

They are completely silent, not even a buzz because instead of a compressor they use absorption technology to cool themselves, they are usually used as mini bars in hotels etc, the 40 litre version only runs at 35w so they are also very good on electric.

Bit small aint it, I need a freezer too though for the pizza's, burgers etc.

Ahwell gona move it to my room today and see how it is @ night :D, hope it's good enough.
Also hope the supermarkets will be open tomoz, so I can stack it up with food & beer :D.

Having mayo & kethcup & mustard in room will also prove handy I think with the ammount of junkfood I eat lol.

using a small fridge for drinks and such is one thing. but your mention of buying a small oven, cooking burgers and pizzas really is too much. is your kitchen in another building or are you just plain idle?

indeed, once you have cooked and eaten said items will you not need to go to the kitchen to wash up?

seems like a silly idea if you ask me, which you did...

Well I can get a sink here, alrdy got a drain ready in my room all i need it a copper pipe, a 1 cm hole (diameter) in the wall, and a sink.

But nah, ill just eat off plastic I guess, or pile up in the night and just take it all away 3 plates or so in the day.

Can always wash off in the bathroom wich is a door closer than kitchen and also a stairs closer lol.

Lazyness, hell, I'm often too lazy to go to the toilet and sit around gaming while I really need to take a wee all the time, and eventually have to sprint to bathroom coz I really have to...

Same for food & drinks, too lazy to get up my bottom and go down.
Often sit hours in my room @ nigth thirsty/hungry because I'm too lazy to go down.

edit: oh

Nah, I'm very skinny 1 metres 60cm ish and just 45 kg's wich is, well a bit underweight, even tho I eat fast food every day.

It already stinks with macdonalds n stuff, u get used to it if u sit in the room :p.
No but really, I can open windows you know.

Nah, not that bad again, when I gotta take a **** I go to the bathroom, it's diff then when you need a pee.

Plus it's only really for the holidays, where my whole sleeping rythm is diff, during school all I'd use a fridge for is beer probs.
