LEDs

multi meter should answer your question, i dont have access to one atm. i would expect the voltage to be arround 1.8-2.2v with a current limiting resistor tuned for ~20ma at whatever voltage. - this is about the range for red - green led'd off the top of my head. blue/whiles need 3.5v for full brightness but should show some light output. then again, cases with blue led's work on all mobos also. so it could jsut be a 5V output and expect a suitable resistor on the led.again, only way to know is with a DMM or a look for the technical specs for the mobo

Are you wanting to attach a Bulgin switch? If so they work fine without any modification, but there is an "official" mod that makes the switch 5V that you can find on the web.

sorry? who mentioned anything about switches?

I mentioned Bulgin switches - the most common query I see about LEDs is from people who want to wire up a Bulgin Vandalproof switch into their PC (the one with the LED built into it). The LED isn't 5V (it's 3.6V) so it puts lots of people off as they think it needs soldering skills to make it work.

Try here for a resistor calculation (but you don't need it - the 3.6V LEDS you buy in most electrical stores work fine with 5V across them).

I almost forgot - the motherboard is delivering 5V to the LED terminals.
