Dad's company car is due for replacement soon, and as the company buys the car outright (then keeps it for *yrs before being sold on/made a pool car) he's been looking at getting a brand new Japanese import (eg this from Litchfield).
I know that Company Car Tax is calculated on purchase price & emissions, so what's done tax wise for a Grey import?
Purchase Price - as the car doesn't exist on the UK market, would they just guess a UK price? Or lookup how much it is in Japan? Or just take the price the importers charge (including shipping SVA etc).
Emissions - would they find the official Japan emissions? Or use the figures recorded at the SVA (on UK Fuel etc)
<Cough> Run it on a special 'SVA map' <Cough>
Anyone have any ideas? I've googled but didn't find any answers
