Turning the shower temperature up in the Winter

I'd say A. I'd think the opposite of B would be true - you don't need as hot a shower as the ambient temperature is cooler, so water would feel hotter than it actually is.

I would agree with the above - our power shower doesn't actually feel as hot in the winter, even when turned up to the max - however in the summer its rarely over half way.

I have a higher temperature shower in the winter becuase the room Temperature is cooler than in the summer. So to achieve the same feeling of warmth in the summer, i have a hotter shower setting.
In the summer the room temperature is higher so i don't need such a hot shower to have the same feeling.

This kinda sucks, I think our shower is a 10kW unit, evidently not powerful enough for the winter, once you have turned the dial up enough to counter the ice cold intake and then some more for added 'ah, thats lovely 'n warm', the flow rate is weak :(

I think you are already at around the maximum power that electric showers are available in. My electric shower is 7kW.

If your water to the shower comes from a large water tank in the loft, make sure its well insulated. This will help keep the water at 'normal' temps during winter. Will save a packet with heating bills.
Chuck any blankets/old towls around it.

You can get geothermal hot water on tap in japan, he doesn't have a location listed!

It will be option A, the cold water needs to be heated more.

no we have an electric boiler than heats it when u turn the tap on, no electric shower, shower is part of the bath taps.

Now I'm intrigued.

So you are saying that it is like a combination gas boiler only it uses electricity (ie. it heats the water as and when you need it, but does not store it in any cylinder)? I was not aware that such a system existed.

Are you in the UK?

i am in uk, i assume its electric i dont no how it works, i didnt fit it or buy it.
combination boiler sounds like what it is. all i know is we turn on hot tap we get hot water, no heating water in advance.
