So whats 2008 got in store?

Are you serious? All the PC GTA games are rubbish ports that have been released 7-8 months after the PS2 versions! It is due for launch until the end of April, add the normal 7-8 months to that and you get either Xmas 2008 or even early 2009 for the PC version.

But GTA IV has not even been announced for the PC yet!

Looking back, it has taken 6 months or so to get released, for some reason I thought it was earlier than that? :confused:

Regarding the ports though, I've never really had a problem regarding the quality of the release. Although it has been a while, maybe I'm forgetting some major problems that plagued previous releases?

to be honest i hope nothing comes out for another 6+ months, theres far too many good games on my HD that need completing , and im in no rush ..

I just want GTA IV to come to pc asap, and assasins creed.
But mostly IV, I love GTA.
 
Just out of interest, just what type of game is Alan Wake going to be? I've seen loads of pictures and everyone always mentions it, but I have no idea what it is or is about. Is it just an fps? I imagined it being some kind of first-person adventure, something like indiana jones crossed with the x-files.....
 
GTA IV will definitely come out on PC and I think Rockstar are more eager to get it on PC as they've been experiencing performance problems with the 360 and PS3, something they don't think will occur on the PC, so in actual fact we could see the PC version 3-5 months after the console release.

I do hope GTA IV comes out this year on PC because it's a highly anticipated game, but it's not one I'm willing to buy a PS3 or X360 over on it's own.
 
Looking forward to WoW: Wrath of The Lich King but I'm really in no hurry for it. Got plenty in game at the moment to keep me occupied. :)
 
Well I'm looking forward to quite a few. I am looking forward to WAR, but I keep hearing extremely mixed reports.

Some say it's awesome and some seem to think that it's the worst they've played.

One thing I'm really looking forward to is buying another 360 and having the opportunity to play Mass Effect and Assassin's creed.
 
People are forgetting the FPS game based on C&C universe called C&C Tiberium, I'm pretty sure its using the Crysis engine from the screenshots, but I'm probably wrong :D

Erm what about Duke Nukem!? (hides also)
 
A PC capable of running Crysis at 1680x1050 16xAF 8XAA Max Detail in DX10 mode @ a rock solid 60fps!!!

or should i put this down for, what has 2010 got in store?....:)

There was an article on Tiberium in the last Games TM mag and it looked really cool, it uses the Unreal 3 engine. The really need to work to shake off the C&C Renegade stigma though.

Sounds a bit like Battlezone, in that it's FPS, but you get to direct squads of infantry too.
