Thermaltake 120 Extreme in a Lain-Li PC7 ?

Well, I got my PC-7+ today and to be honest, it's pretty pants.

The material it's made from is very thin, and the sides rattle even when screwed tightly to the chassis.

I also purchased 2 dvd bezels and a floppy bezel (also made by Lian Li) and again, I'm somewhat disappointed as these are not flush with the front of the case.

May have to do a low amount of modding (foam around the edges to kill the rattle and possibly something to make the bezels flush).

The hunt for a good strong case for my main PC continues

that's unlucky man, i have one, i would suggest you put those felt pads on the feet, helped reduce a bit of noise for me, also if you get the window panel it's a much tighter fits and you won't get the rattle, maybe you were just unlucky

Maybe I was yeah. I'll iron out the problems with some foam, use my DVDRW's without the bezels I think (got black DVDRW's and Silver Case), and when I find a better case, I'll just use this for my 2nd PC (my DVDRW's in my 2nd PC have changeable silver bezels)

Mate you got seriously unlucky, I love my PC7+ and swear by it for that price range. Got my Thermalright (think thats what you mean rather than thermaltake) 120 Ultra extreme in there and my HR-03 :)

Replaced the Lian Li fans with really quiet ones and a little bit of rubber between the hard drives and the bottom cage.

As for bezels. I have the floppy and 5.25" bezel's and they are very definately flush with the case.

I would definately suggest making sure that the case is upright when you screw them in.

I found that if you fixed them on their side and then put the front panel on sometimes it would push the front panel up at one side. But if you just leave the screws loose to check the front panel fits then tighten them once it does.
Fantastic case (except my front panel port cover broke off while moving it round)
