Warranty , am i being unreasonable [from laptop thread]

The annoying thing that I see is that first they've told him the part isn't in stock, then that the engineer didn't come out because he had the post code wrong and then finaly that the part still wasn't in stock.

Did they not have the part or could the engineer not find the address? I'd be complaining about being lied to.

edit:

In case I have the order of things wrong, shouldn't they have called you as soon as they realised there was a problem over the address ??

I am glad someone else noticed this lol.... I think im going mad, teach me not to buy from OCuK wont it lol.

Did you buy from **** directly? If so, demand a refund for the cost of the extended warranty. I don't think you will get anywhere with a monolithic company like them without a decent business account, but worth a try anyway.

bought from a reseller - with full warrenty that we then upgraded to NBD.

Didnt make any odds to them, they just seem to use Xmas as an excuse not to fix it as fast as *** warrenty says they should.

Still, its done now, will try and get some compansation, but i cant see it coming from them. Shame as i need to buy another laptop and i dont think i will be spending cash with them this time.

I think they need to offer a temp replacement laptop until the original one is fixed if they can't fix it within 24 hours, don't they?
