The coolest guitar lick you've ever heard?

One of my favourites has always been 'Hey Bulldog' by the Beatles. Effortlessly cool, and almost pretentious in its simplicity.

Bernard Purdie - the basic feel is something called the Purdie Shuffle.

I like the top comment on that page - 'soooooo awesome but PLEASE lose the china!!!'.
I started a thread on here a couple of years ago about how I hate china cymbals and how they can ruin a drum sound and my thoughts haven't changed.
Used a couple of times a gig - no problem, used in every song - no way.
They are nearly as bad as a cowbell or one of those synth drums we used to have in the early 80's.

Anyway, heres my entry for the best lick.
Where do you start with this song because its full of licks?
Its got an excellent drumming intro lick
It then goes into an amazing tapping lick
And then an amazing run down lick just before the chords kick in
Then the amazing riff starts
Its got one of the best solos ever
Its got great subject matter which all of us can associate with
The video has got cheesy dancing
Theres baby versions of the musicians
All in all thoroughly entertaining.

Aw yeah, that's right.

That Emmanuel lick was sloppy as hell :D

I think that decending lick in the 'Comfortably Numb' solo that gets repeated a few times has got to be up there. You can't beat that classic 'bend and decend', as shown by andelusion ^.

Oh and that bouncing 'scoop / doop' main theme riff from Surfing with the Alien, without question one of the coolest things on guitar ever!
