JVC-KDAVX1 head unit help

ive just installed the JVC-KDAVX1 into my car and got a major problem with it. the drive will not allow me to put a disc into it. does anyone know a way around this so it will play discs?

How do you mean? Will it just not physically go in the slot?

yep have one if you mean to play dvds while the car is moving you have to earth the hand break cable as its illegal to watch movies and drive so thats why they have it but if you earth it you can do both!!

I had this when I bought my car CD/DVD player. There was a screw in it preventing CD's being inserted. I think it was there to secure it during transport.

Just remove the screw and you should be ok.

were was the screw located?

Either above or below where the cd loading mechanism is. Mine had 'remove transport pins' in big writing on the top of the unit. I still missed it. :rolleyes:
