as title really... i had a search through his HUGE thread about the golf and couldnt find a mention of a name but i'm after some of the stuff that basically eats rust and i know you used it on the golf.

anyone? :)

Not sure if it's the same stuff but i've heard good things about Deox-Gel.

" Deox-Gel is a viscous, highly thixotropic, rust remover, designed for corrosion removal on surfaces or objects too large to submerge in a bath of Deox-C. Along with the viscosity builders and preservatives, the active agents in Deox-Gel are harmless, non-toxic and biodegradable. "

I use Bilt Hamber Deox-Gel, followed by Bilt Hamber Hydrate80 (the purple stuff) as a barrier/stabiliser coat.

see above - the missus beat you to it. you have Lostkat well trained. ;)

edit - almost well trained... she failed to indentify the deox-gel. 6/10.

The powder is brilliant (Deox-C) for bolts etc - there is a guy on SXOC using it on his S14a rebuild and it's working wonders.

quick note, does it have to be a metal tub? or can you get away with plastic? also is it hazardous to skin or anything?
