For the record (with no guitar near me), on the scale of all known licks, I think it looks pretty solid.

Mine would have to be this fantastic riff used near the start of Searching by Joe Satriani off the Is There Love In Space album. Its just easy to play triplets using a digitech whammy pedal syncopated with octaves. Blows me away every time i hear it: Linky

Sorry my recording setup atm is about as primitive as cavemen with sticks.

edit: Yeah.... listen to the actual song to hear it done justice :P

Might have a crack at copying the first minute of the Gilberto solo once I've made and eaten my Korma :D Stay tuned.

Aye the Suhr is the only guitar I have left in standard tuning now. :)

Awesome, I look forward to it :D

I'm currently have a mess around with some riffage... we should all have a 'play your favourite riffs' thread since they arn't as widdly or prestigious as most solos so pretty much everyone can join in and have fun (or maybe a 'guess the riff' thread!). You certainly won't be hearing my version of that solo anytime soon ;) My guitar has been gathering dust.... :(
