So if we got another male would we have to get both neutered or just the new one, sorry to keep asking questions!

ah, I see what you mean now - I don't know about adding. If they're the same as other animals then if they've spent most of their lives alone, it's not a good idea to add to that.

Knip, when we bought our rabbit we were told not to get 2 as they would fight, is this true and do you think we could get one now?

I have a 4 year old boy, and he did have a wife who was the same age. They had both been done. She unfortunately died when they were 2, and he was so lonely I went back to the petshop and he had another girl in there, who was already 4 months old but hadnt found a home yet. I brought her home, and they fell madly in love.

Theyve been together ever since, the only thing I did have to do was get her neutered (even though he had been done) because the vet said she could tell he wasnt getting her pregnant, and as the rabbit need to breed is so strong, she was taking it out on him. Since then ive had no problems at all, theyre led together snuggled up right now.

I dont like the thought of a pet being on its own, and I have no worries about recommending you at least try and get your bunny one (he or she will need the snip if you get an opposite sex one obviously) what you can do is ring the local rescue centre, and they will quite often let you take your bunny along to meet the ones they have, and then see which one your bunny gets on with. I just got lucky in that the one I brought home from the petshop was the right one.

As with Sic, shout if you want any help. I would definitely recommend introducing your bunny to one of the opposite sex, but obviously they may need the snip first :)

My boy is 4 and my girl is 2, but they had both been used to company. My 4 year old had his previous wife, and the 2 yr old had been in a cage with younger bunnies and guinea pigs.

ah, cool. They're not like hamsters in that respect then

Ha no! I tried that with my hamsters once, they went from fluffy little lovely things to screeching banshees in 3 seconds!
Never again!

You what?

ok.. I'll explain that - reading it didn't come out as it was in my head..

What I ment to say is *I'm* the drunken idiot that saw a childish gag in there... not you or your missus lol! Appologies for the misunderstanding.

Haha, I see. Thought you were referring to me as being a drunken child :p

Rabbits are rubbish pets. Eat and sleep, and only active in short periods in a day.

Not true, my rabbits sleep when I am out at work, and are then awake all evening when im home, and then sleep again at night when I sleep unless they wake up for a drink or a munch, and im pretty much used to those noises now, so they dont keep me awake.
