Basically its for my spec in sig.
I dont care about the price i would just like the best one for a gamer:)
Im a bit of a Abit fan, as they have all been good boards so far.

Something like the Abit IP35-Pro would suit you fine then. :)

[Edit] Actually, looking at your current board - it's 975X, packed full of features, what's wrong with it exactly?

Hello bakes0310, motherboards make little to no difference in boosting game performance. The main reason for purchasing a £120 motherboard compared to a £50 one is if you are looking to overclock and the set features it has on that particular board. Other than that, a motherboard is honestly a motherboard. :)

ive had a e6850 sitting in my drawer and im too scared to up date my bios maually.

so the Abit IP35 Pro is a good one to have so i heard.
I was thinking of upgrading my power supply to the Enermax Galaxy 1000W woud that compliment it nicely.

Unless you will be heavily overclocking then an upgraded mobo cause you dont want to flash the bios is pointless.

bakes0310 - Do you have a floppy drive or USB Pen Drive?

something might go horribly wrong. Fair enough if i could use the abits auto update program, but it wont work on vista 64.
Flash Menu is more risky than using a floppy drive or usb pen. BUT if you insist on using Flash Menu. . . have you tried the very latest version??

You can download it here:- ftp://ftp.abitshop.com/pub/utilities/flashmenu/flashmenu1507.zip (I did read older versions using Vista did not work, not sure about newer versions.)

What PSU you currently using? to be honest I'm using a 580W PSU & its more than enough to run my spec in my sig i.e. Q6600 (Quad) + Nvidia 8800 GTX overclocked! :)

The only reason to upgrade your PSU in my opinion is if you wish to use 2 graphics cards i.e. Crossfire & for something around 850W (depending on manufacturer spec) which would have a 135MM or 140MM fan for extra quietness.
