Hi all,

After months of my P5N-E SLI failing to boot when it is cold (left on for 20 minutes from cold and would boot) it has decided to no longer boot.

I could replace it like for like but I have never liked the 650 chipset and fancy a switch to the Abit IP-35 PRO. Seems like a reasonable board for the price, obviously I loose the ability to go SLI but that will not bother me.

What are peoples views on this board? Any problems regarding my setup (in sig) I assume my PSU has the 8 pin power connector?

Other options of waiting for the 7** chipset are out as I need a replacement ASAP.

Sorry for troubling you to read another one of these threads.

The IP pro is an extremely good board it uses the ICH9R chipset (6 SATA ports & RAID capable + firewire. It also uses pipe cooling.

The IP Pro has also been proven to be an extremely excellent overclocking motherboard.

You mat find the following links and information useful.

Your current specs will be absolutley fine and there will be no need for any further upgrade if you were to purchase the IP Pro (or any other mother board). Your powersupply will have the necessary connections.

Just WOW at the Foxconn board! I would never have considered a motherboard made by Foxconn despite having had other products from them that have been 100% reliable. This board looks amazing and they got it to 535FSB!!! Holy mary!

The only downsides for me are that it isn't in stock (webnote sent) and I am not keen on the placement of the SATA connectors, but I could live with that I suppose.

Thanks again - I thought about the ABIT board to get me by until next upgrade but I think the Foxconn board (barring any bugs that it may have) will be my next board and a great upgrade to boot. Thank you so much for making the time to POST! :)

No problem at all the foxconn website (if you register) also shows all the Bios update and forum information~(for more indepth information) including videos ect.

You may also fine this thread interesting as OcUK are intent on stocking the DFI boards. (Keep your options open;))

Well, what dya think?

I'm considering reintroducing a limited range of high end DFI boards, just discussing the finer points of the deal at the moment

Thanks for the heads up - Unfortunately i need the board ASAP. Plus you already sold me the Foxconn board.

Could you link the foxconn website where I need to setup the account to view the added extras. Web access at work is bad but i can get round it with a direct link.
