17.7m Xbox 360s and 8.1m copies of Halo 3 sold

8.1m copies of Halo 3? Jesus christ console gamers have low standards/are suckers for marketing

Does it not occur to anyone that there were two games before this one? There are fans of this game you know!

8.1 mill is hugely impressive, but I just wonder how many of that 8.1million copies were actually then sold off second hand. My local er well known London second hand gaming/dvd store has literally brickloads of Hallo3 copies on their shelves and behind the counter. Yet there's not a single copy of Mass Effect there - for a good reason.

Yeah but the sales are probably 8.1 from new so they really dont care that much about 2nd hand sales??? 8.1 million is impressive.

Mass effect I thought couldn't be selling that well as soon as I saw it had already dropped to 19.99. It seems to have sold well but sales must have dropped off after an early surge for that to happen.

The thing is H3 has reply because of multiplayer. Mass Effect while being a RPG etc etc. Once you play it, the average gamer wont be playing it again. This is why I have held out buying it.

Btw I should add I own 2 Halo 3 copies. I'm sorry lol

You love it :p

just play with us and see, I can't be arsed to explain it to you.

I did all my games where with Ocuk. I never played any randoms and within 30 seconds everyone was everywhere fighting alone. Naturally the better players like Alrik and Krono (phew that hurt) did well but not once did I hear any tactics. Plus the Mic system is **** making it more effort than it's worth.

Just seems liek you don't want to like it. In 4v4, ctf etc the best team always wins, who group together and play as a team.

For playing online by yourself CoD4 wins but for social/group/team play halo 3 destroys it.

I don't think it's going to win much for me considering I didn't like the beta and none of my friends play Halo 3 :p Maybe when it's £10 I'll pick it up but even at £25 at Christmas, it didn't appeal. Just not my sort of FPS game simply put :)

Dont want to like it? I bought 2 copies, tryst me I wanted to love it :D

I liked it a bit better after playing with Alrik on co-op. If i'd been in with the cool kids during halo2 and it was my first online taste I might have liked it.

For someone getting into gaming online from the 360, it seems old dated and wishy washy. Thats a technical word :D
