CRACKDOWN!
As The Darkness didn't make it (ugh), then it has to be Bioshock. Bioshock and CoD4 are the main 2, but CoD4 was just too short and didn't offer the immersion or change of environment that Bioshock.
Bioshock has great graphics, amazing environments, superb characters, outstanding environmental music and a phenomenal story.

I think I would have picked Call of Duty 4, but I played that on the PC so it would be unfair to vote that as the best for console since I never played it on the Xbox... same goes for BioShock. So in that respect it would definetly have to be Mass Effect.

Exactly my thoughts, Mass Effect
It's been an amazing year for games
I think it's been the best ever, but still I've seen several people complain.
CoD4 has the best multiplayer experience of the games in that list, that is ALL I am bothered about.
Is there anyway you can post without sounding like you're having a go at everyone?
I would call it good, but the best is pushing it (for me anyway) and 2008 is going to be better IMO. Just too many of 2007's 'AAA' games didnt live up to what I was expecting (Heavenly sword, Assassin's Creed, Kane & Lynch, Warhawk) and the rest got delayed till 2008.
Where as 2008 we've got GTA IV, Fable 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, Devil May Cry 4 and Splinter Cell Conviction all of which are some of my most favourite game series' and there is the rest of them aswell (Army of Two, Condemned 2 etc)

I have to say I'm surprised at how badly Mass Effect is doing, But then again it does lack multiplayer. Which is on the premise of which COD4 is probably in the lead.
